Carving Tips
- Choose only fresh vegetables with bright coloring when possible and crisp lettuce leaves.
- Choose ripe but not overripe fruit.
- When you use lettuce leaves, first put them in a deep dish and pour cold water over them. Leave the leaves in water for several minutes. Then wash the lettuce under running water and dry it with a clean towel.
- It is better to oil olives, green peas, beans, corn before use. It will help keep them moist and they won’t wrinkle or shrink.
- To increase lemons’ aroma, pour boiling water over them.
- Peeled or cut apples won’t turn brown if you moisten them with lemon juice.
- Vegetable and fruit dishes look and taste the best when cooked shortly before serving.
